Ontario County Public Health: 93 new COVID-19 cases Wednesday

HOPEWELL — Ontario County Public Health is reporting 93 new COVID-19 cases from across the county Wednesday.

Twenty-five were people under the age of 18, health officials said.

A total of 1,230 people are in isolation and quarantine, and 41 people are in the hospital.

With 14 recoveries noted Dec. 8, 11,686 people have recovered since the start of the pandemic. There were 866 negative tests.

Since the start of the pandemic, 12,545 Ontario County residents have been diagnosed with COVID-19 and 138 people have died.

Ontario County remains in the High category for COVID-19 transmission, which is the highest level, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
