New COVID-19 cases in Skagit County remain above 300 for fifth consecutive week

Sep. 13—Skagit County Public Health reported 372 new cases of COVID-19 for the seven-day period running Sept. 5 through Sept. 11.

It marked the fifth consecutive seven-day, Sunday-through-Saturday period with 300 or more new cases.

The 372 new cases include both positive PCR tests and positive antigen tests. Prior to Aug. 11, Public Health reported only positive PCR tests among its COVID-19 totals.

Among the new cases reported, 239 were from positive PCR tests and 133 from positive antigen tests.

The seven-day Sunday-through-Saturday period running Sept. 5 to Sept. 11 included six new deaths and 26 new hospitalizations.

Through Sept. 11, the county has had 92 COVID-19 deaths and 487 hospitalizations throughout the pandemic.
