Ontario County Public Health: One new COVID-19 death reported Sept. 20

HOPEWELL — Ontario County Public Health is reporting 19 new COVID-19 community cases and one death Sept. 20.

The people range in ages from 7 to over 70. Seven of the cases were people who were vaccinated and 12 were unvaccinated including three who were too young.

Since the start of the pandemic, 8,503 cases have been reported; 115 people have died and 8,188 have recovered.

Ontario County remains in the High category for transmission, which is the highest level, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
