Apr. 9—CLERMONT — A Clermont man has been arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting women at the convenience store where he worked.

Fayette County sheriff's deputies arrested Terry Joseph Choi, 34, formerly of Dubuque, for five counts of third-degree sexual abuse on Friday. Bond was set at $50,000.

Choi had worked at Casey'sGeneral Store, and deputies received reports from three females that Choi had assaulted them during different occasions in the preceding months, according to court records.

He allegedly trapped one of the victims in the store's walk-in freezer, pinned her and rubbed up against her body. He is also accused to grabbing other females in the groin area and attempting to kiss them, records state.

Investigators interviewed Choi on April 5, and he told them the contact was consensual and said he was the victim, according to court records.

Sheriff Marty Fisher said the investigation is continuing, and the sheriff's office is concerned there may be other victims. Anyone with further information is asked to call the Fayette County Sheriff's Office at (563)422-6067.

Choi was also detained on a parole violation hold.

Court records show Choi has prior convictions for stealing fishing equipment taken from a Dubuque boat in 2021, attempting to sell stolen baseball cards in 2022, and burglarizing a Dubuque home in 2017.
