NASCAR driver arrested for domestic violence gets indefinite suspension

Patriot-News - 4/4/2024

NASCAR handed out an indefinite suspension to driver Gray Gaulding on Wednesday.

The move came on day after the 26-year-old was reportedly arrested on misdemeanor domestic violence charges.

Gaulding was reportedly taken into custody by the Charlotte Mecklenburg Sheriff’s Department and was released later that evening.

He is listed as a part-time driver for the No. 08 Chevrolet Camaro and Ford Mustang for SS-Green Light Racing on the Xfinity Series, according to Yahoo. The site said Gaulding is also listed as a part-time driver on the Cup Series in the No. 15 Ford Mustang for Rick Ware Racing.

Gaulding has also driven in the Truck Series.

He has made 158 starts across six years, but none of those have come thus far in 2024.

His last start came in the Xfinity Series at Daytona International Speedway last August.
