Nephew of ‘Yellowstone’ actor Mo Brings Plenty missing, wanted for domestic violence

The nephew of “Yellowstone” actor Mo Brings Plenty has reportedly been missing since March 31, and is now a suspect in an alleged domestic violence incident in Lawrence, Kan.

The 27-year-old actor’s uncle took to social media Tuesday to help in the missing-persons search, which was later revealed to be a manhunt after authorities confirmed they’d filed an affidavit for his arrest.

Reports of a female screaming for help on Sunday morning prompted law enforcement to show up at an apartment in Lawrence, according to KCTV. By the time they arrived, however, Cole had already fled the scene — believed to be headed southbound on Highway 59 in a 2005 white Ford Explorer.

“We’ve identified [Cole Brings Plenty] as the suspect, have probable cause for his arrest, and issued an alert to area agencies,” Lawrence Police Department said in a statement Tuesday afternoon. Due to the nature of the alleged incident, which police confirmed “involves allegations of domestic violence,” additional information is limited.

Cole’s family members first reported him missing person after he failed to show up for an appointment with his agent about a TV role, which they said was “uncharacteristic.”

His dad, Joseph Brings Plenty Sr., wrote on social media Monday that his family was “worried about him,” saying he was “last seen early morning hours on Easter” and had not returned messages or phone calls.

After Mo shared the news Cole was missing on his Instagram page, the 54-year-old actor’s “Yellowstone” costars Cole Hauser, Michelle Randolph and others also helped with the rally call to help the search.

The Kansas City Indian Center is working with the family to help locate Cole.

“A lot of times, our people fall through the cracks and don’t get the attention that some other people do, especially with our men,” executive director Gaylene Crouser (Standing Rock Sioux Tribe) told Native News Online. “We are really grateful to anyone who brings attention to this … The more people who are looking for him, the sooner we will be able to find him.”

Cole, a Haskell Indian Nations University student from the Mnicouju Lakota tribe, starred in two episodes of the “Yellowstone” spinoff “1923” as Pete Plenty Clouds. He has also appeared in “The Tall Tales of Jim Bridger” and “Into the Wild Frontier.”
